Sommerset's keyboard history
Sommerset has gone through three keyboards, and the history table shows how long each one lasted. The Kraken Pro 60 is by far the longest stretch: 33.0 months (2.8 years), from September 2022 to June 2025.
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini followed for 13.2 months (1.1 years). In July 2026 she moved to the SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini Black, which is at 3.2 months so far. Across the history there are two switches between boards, and each model got a single stretch of use.
The last two boards are both compact Mini-style 60% layouts with non-hotswappable PCBs. The latest move swaps one compact board for another rather than changing the overall format.

Switches and actuation
The Apex Pro Mini Black is sold with OmniPoint 2.0 switches. The PCB is non-hotswappable, so the switches are fixed to the board. Whatever it ships with is what you play on, and you can't change them later.
The Wooting alternatives go the other way. Both are hotswappable and offered with a wide range of switch options, including Lekker Linear 45 v2, Lekker Linear 60 v2, Lekker Tikken Light and Lekker Tikken Medium. If you like to experiment with switches, that flexibility matters. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini, her previous board, is also non-hotswappable and comes with Razer Analog Optical switches.
Key binds
The bind table covers her Fortnite layout. The movement keys sit on the left-hand side of the board: crouch on L-Ctrl, jump on Space and sprint on L-Shift.
Building is on the home-row area. Wall is on E, Floor on R, Stairs on Q and Building Edit on C, all within easy reach of the left hand. The Trap bind shares L-Shift with sprint. Harvesting Tool is on F, and weapon slots 1 to 5 use the number row, which a 60% board keeps.

Should you buy Sommerset's keyboard?
The Apex Pro Mini Black suits anyone who wants a 60% layout with the keys kept tight and the desk space free for mouse movement. It is a fairly heavy board at 610g, so it stays put on the desk. The catch is the non-hotswappable PCB. You are committed to OmniPoint 2.0, and the board can't be rebuilt around other switches.
If switch choice matters more to you, consider the alternatives:
- Wooting 60HE+ (11 pros use it now): hotswappable, with a wide switch range. It is 5 g lighter, 1.3 cm longer, 0.9 cm wider and 0.24 cm lower than the Apex Pro Mini Black.
- Wooting 60HE v2 Silver (7 pros use it now): also hotswappable. It is 4 g lighter, 1.2 cm longer, 1.2 cm wider and 1.24 cm lower, so it is the flattest of the three alternatives.
- Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini (4 pros use it now): non-hotswappable like the Apex, with Razer Analog Optical switches. It is 1.1 cm longer, 0.5 cm wider and 0.24 cm lower.
All three alternatives are 60% boards with RGB, so the choice comes down to switch options, hotswap support and how low you want the board to sit.
