Clix's keyboard history
Clix's keyboard history is a lot of back and forth. Across 9 periods he made 8 switches between just 4 different models, so he returns to boards he has already used.
The Matrix x Clix Cotton Candy is the anchor. He has had it for 4 periods and returned to it 3 times, for 30.2 months (2.5 years) in total. His longest single stretch on any board was also on it, from August 2023 to November 2024: 15.6 months (1.3 years).
The SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini Black is the other board he keeps coming back to. It has 3 periods and 2 returns, adding up to 10.5 months. The current stint began in July 2026 and has lasted 3.2 months. The Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 had one 8.1-month period before it. The Matrix x Clix Keyboard Black was a brief test of about 21 days in 2023.

Switches and actuation
The Apex Pro Mini Black is sold with one switch type, OmniPoint 2.0. The PCB is non-hotswappable, so the switches are fixed to the board. If you buy this keyboard, you get that switch and cannot swap it later.
Wooting boards work differently. The 60HE+ and 60HE v2 Silver both have hotswappable PCBs and are offered with Lekker Linear 45 v2, Lekker Linear 60 v2, Lekker Tikken Light, Lekker Tikken Medium, Wooting x TTC KOM and Geon Raw HE. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini uses Razer Analog Optical switches and, like the SteelSeries, is non-hotswappable.
Key binds
The binds table shows a standard Fortnite layout on a 60% board. Weapon slots sit on the number keys, with the harvesting tool on 1 and slots 1 to 5 on 2 to 6. Crouch is on C, sprint on L-Ctrl and jump on Space.
Building is where the setup stands out. Wall, floor, stairs, roof and trap are spread over F, X, Q, V and T, with R to rotate. Editing can be done from G or with mouse wheel down. Turbo Building, Confirm Edit on Release and Disable Pre-Edit Option are all switched on.
A 60% layout keeps all of these keys within easy reach on a compact board.

Should you buy Clix's keyboard?
The Apex Pro Mini Black suits anyone who wants a compact 60% board with RGB and does not plan to change switches. It measures 29.3 cm wide and 10.3 cm long, and weighs 610 g, so it has some heft on the desk.
The alternatives trade off in a few ways:
- Wooting 60HE+ (11 pros use it now): 5 g lighter, but 1.3 cm longer and 0.9 cm wider. It is hotswappable and comes with a wide choice of switches.
- Wooting 60HE v2 Silver (7 pros use it now): 4 g lighter and 1.24 cm lower, but 1.2 cm longer and 1.2 cm wider. It is also hotswappable.
- Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini (4 pros use it now): 0.24 cm lower, but 1.1 cm longer and 0.5 cm wider. It is non-hotswappable like the SteelSeries.
If you want to change switches later, look at the Wooting boards. If a smaller footprint matters more, the SteelSeries is the more compact of these in length and width.
