Switches and actuation
The Wooting 80HE Black is sold with six switch options: Lekker Linear 45 v2, Lekker Linear 60 v2, Lekker Tikken Light, Lekker Tikken Medium, Geon Raw HE and Wooting x TTC KOM. That gives you two Lekker Linear versions, two Lekker Tikken versions, and two more choices in the Geon Raw HE and the Wooting x TTC KOM. If you copy the setup, pick the switch by feel.
The board is hotswappable, so you aren't locked into your first choice. You can try another switch from the list later without soldering or replacing the whole keyboard.
As for how it's used, clips about the keyboard on TikTok show Jynxzi trying it in Geometry Dash after it was sent to him. Those clip titles say Zoink, a Geometry Dash player, recommended the Wooting.
Should you buy Jynxzi's keyboard?
The 80HE is a TKL, so it drops the number pad and leaves you more desk space. It suits anyone who wants a compact board with a full set of switch choices and the freedom to swap them. The Black version Jynxzi uses is available now.
The alternatives trade off like this:
- Wooting 80HE+ Frost: the same size and weight as Jynxzi's board, with the same switch options and hotswappable PCB. Choose it if you want the same hardware in a different look.
- Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black: 70 g lighter and 0.2 cm shorter, but 1.8 cm wider and 1.06 cm taller. It uses Razer Analog Optical switches and is not hotswappable, so you can't change switches later.
- SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL (2023): 0.6 cm shorter, 0.9 cm wider and 1.06 cm taller. It comes with OmniPoint 2.0 switches and is not hotswappable.
Both alternatives are taller than the Wooting. If you want a lower board with swappable switches, stay with the 80HE family.
