TMB's keyboard history
TMB started this stretch on the Razer Huntsman V2 TKL in September 2022 and stayed on it for 17.4 months (1.4 years). In February 2024 he moved to the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black and played on it for 9.6 months.
In December 2024 he tried the Wooting 80HE Ghost. That lasted 2.4 months, the shortest period in the table. In February 2025 he went back to the Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black, and it is his board today.
The Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black is the one he keeps coming back to. He has used it for 29.6 months (2.5 years) in total across two periods, and the current run of 20.0 months (1.7 years) is his longest on any keyboard. Every board in his history is a Razer or Wooting TKL, so he has stayed with the same compact layout throughout.

Switches and actuation
The Huntsman V3 Pro TKL comes with Razer Analog Optical switches. That is the switch type this model is built around, and it is a different system from the Lekker switches on the Wooting 80HE or SteelSeries' OmniPoint 2.0 on the Apex Pro TKL (2023).
One practical point is that this board has a non-hotswappable PCB, so the switches are not meant to be swapped out. If you want to try different switch types, the Wooting 80HE listed in the alternatives is hotswappable and sold with a range of Lekker, Geon and TTC options.
Should you buy TMB's keyboard?
The Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black is a tenkeyless board. It drops the numpad and keeps the main block, arrows and navigation keys. It is a fairly heavy, solid board, so it suits people who want a TKL that stays put on the desk. Its non-hotswappable PCB suits players who would rather pick a board and stick with it than change switches.
If you are weighing alternatives, each one trades something off:
- Wooting 80HE Black (8 pros use it now): 70 g heavier, 1.8 cm narrower and 1.06 cm lower. It is hotswappable and offers several switch options.
- Wooting 80HE+ Frost (6 pros use it now): the same dimensions and switch options as the 80HE Black, so the same trade-offs apply.
- SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL (2023) (4 pros use it now): 0.4 cm shorter and 0.9 cm narrower, at the same height. It uses OmniPoint 2.0 switches and is also non-hotswappable.
The Wooting boards are the pick if a lower, narrower profile and swappable switches matter to you. The Apex Pro TKL (2023) is the closest in height and keeps the fixed-switch approach.
