Why NiKo chose the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8KHz NiKo Edition, in NiKo's words
The NiKo Edition is not a board he picked off the shelf. It belongs to the Razer NiKo Collection, co-designed with him and announced on 16 February 2026. According to Razer's announcement, he revealed the new gear on stage at PGL Cluj-Napoca, and the collection hardware is what he uses to train and compete in CS2.
His own words on it cover the whole collection, not just the keyboard:
This collection represents an important milestone in my career. Having a product line that truly reflects who I am as a player and as a person was something I always wanted to achieve but I knew I needed to do it properly.Nikola 'NiKo' Kovač, Player, Falcons. Introducing the Razer NiKo Collection: Co-Designed with the Counter-Strike Legend, 16 February 2026
The keyboard also fits his recent history. He had already been on a Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8KHz (Green) since August 2025, so the move to the signature edition keeps him on the same Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8KHz line.
Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8KHz NiKo Edition vs the standard model
The NiKo Edition is the standard Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8KHz with a different identity on top. Razer's blog says the base hardware is unchanged: Analog Optical Gen-2 switches, Rapid Trigger and Snap Tap.
- Key profile: per Razer's blog, each unit ships with NiKo's custom key profile pre-installed.
- Look: Razer's collection release describes a flame-motif NiKo design.
In practice you are not buying a different keyboard in terms of hardware. You get the same board, his profile out of the box and his design on it.
NiKo's keyboard history
NiKo's keyboard history is busy: 14 periods, 13 switches and 10 different models. It starts with Logitech boards in 2022 and 2023, moves to Razer's Huntsman V3 Pro TKL in September 2023, and then includes stints on the Wooting 60HE+, the Wooting 80HE+ Frost and the Pulsar PCMK 2 HE TKL between September 2024 and April 2025.
The Huntsman V3 Pro TKL is the board he keeps coming back to. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black entry covers 4 periods, with 3 returns to it and 13.5 months (1.1 years) in total. After the Pulsar he went back to the Huntsman V3 Pro TKL White in April 2025, then to the 8KHz Green in August 2025.
The current NiKo Edition is his longest single period at 8.0 months and counting, started in February 2026.

Switches and actuation
The NiKo Edition uses Razer Analog Optical Gen-2 switches. Analog means the key registers how far it is pressed, not just on or off, and that is what makes Rapid Trigger possible.
Razer's blog on his CS2 setup gives two details: he raises sensitivity on his movement keys and runs Rapid Trigger at 0.3 mm. This is Razer's description, not his own words. Snap Tap is also part of the board's feature set.
In CS2 this setup is about movement control. Shorter resets on the movement keys let direction changes register quickly when stopping and strafing.
Should you buy NiKo's keyboard?
The NiKo Edition is available, since it launched as part of the Razer NiKo Collection. It is a TKL, so it suits players who want to keep the function row and arrow keys but free up desk space for mouse movement. It is a fairly tall and heavy board, and the PCB is non-hotswappable, so the switches stay as they are.
If you like the idea but not the signature styling, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black has the same size, weight and switch type as listed, and 5 pros use it right now. The hardware is the same, so the NiKo Edition mostly adds his key profile and design.
The other direction is Wooting. The Wooting 80HE Black (8 pros) and the Wooting 80HE+ Frost (6 pros) are both TKL boards with a hotswappable PCB and a choice of Lekker Linear, Lekker Tikken and other switch options. Compared with NiKo's board, each is 70 g heavier, 0.2 cm longer, 1.8 cm narrower and 1.06 cm lower. Choose these if you want a lower, more compact board and the freedom to change switches.
