Switches and actuation
The Wooting 60HE+ is sold with six switch options: Lekker Linear 45 v2, Lekker Linear 60 v2, Lekker Tikken Light, Lekker Tikken Medium, Wooting x TTC KOM and Geon Raw HE. That is a wide range for one board. It gives you two Linear versions, two Tikken versions and two more switches from other makers' lines to choose between.
The PCB is hotswappable, so you can change switches without soldering. If you buy this board, you are not locked into your first choice. You can try a different switch later and keep the same keyboard.
Key binds
In VALORANT, movement sits on the left-hand modifiers: walk on L-Shift, crouch on L-Ctrl and jump on Space. The abilities are on V, E and C, and Use Object is on F. Weapon slots stay on the number row, 1 to 3 for primary, secondary and melee. One detail stands out: Equip Spike and the Ultimate ability are both on 4.
His Apex Legends layout follows the same pattern. Crouch is on L-Ctrl, sprint on L-Shift, the tactical ability on Q and interact on E. Melee is on V and the inventory on Tab. Healing items run along the number row from 5 to 9. Every bind in both games uses the main block of keys, which is all a 60% board has, so nothing here depends on a function row or arrow keys.

Should you buy Mendo's keyboard?
The Wooting 60HE+ suits anyone who wants a compact 60% layout and the freedom to pick and change switches. The hotswappable PCB and six switch options are the main selling points. The board is not light at 605 g, so it works best as a desk-bound keyboard. It is also fairly tall at 3.8 cm. If you play with a lot of desk space cleared for the mouse, the 60% footprint will appeal.
If it is not quite right, there are three alternatives, all 60%:
- SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini Black (8 pros using it now): 5 g heavier, 1.3 cm shorter, 0.9 cm narrower and 0.24 cm taller. It uses OmniPoint 2.0 switches, but the PCB is not hotswappable, so you give up swapping switches for a slightly smaller footprint.
- Wooting 60HE v2 Silver (7 pros using it now): 1 g heavier, 0.1 cm shorter, 0.3 cm wider and 1 cm lower. It has the same six switch options and a hotswappable PCB. It is the closest match if you want the same feel on a lower board.
- Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini (4 pros using it now): 0.2 cm shorter and 0.4 cm narrower, with the same height. It uses Razer Analog Optical switches and a non-hotswappable PCB.
