What Keyboard Does magixx Use?

magixx's keyboard history

magixx's keyboard history runs through five different boards since September 2022. Each model appears once, and he has not gone back to any of them. It starts with the Varmilo VA87M Summit (8.4 months), followed by the Ducky One 3 TKL Daybreak (15.2 months, 1.3 years).

The longest stretch was on the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL White, from August 2024 to April 2026: 19.7 months (1.6 years). After that, things moved quickly. The ICONIKA ERF80HE EMO lasted 2.1 months, and the Wooting 80HE+ Frost took over in June 2026 and has been in use for 3.9 months. ICONIKA's own post says he was among the first owners of its keyboard and chose the Emo colorway.

In short, he spent almost three years on three boards, then changed twice within a few months in 2026.

Switches and actuation

The Wooting 80HE+ Frost is sold with a wide choice of switches: Lekker Linear 45 v2, Lekker Linear 60 v2, Lekker Tikken Light, Lekker Tikken Medium, Geon Raw HE and Wooting x TTC KOM. That gives you two linear Lekker options, two Tikken options in Light and Medium weights, and two further switches from Geon and the Wooting x TTC collaboration.

The PCB is hotswappable. You are not locked into the switch you start with, and you can try a different one later without soldering. For a CS2 board, that makes it easy to experiment with the feel of the switch until it suits you.

Should you buy magixx's keyboard?

The Wooting 80HE+ Frost is a TKL board, so it has no numpad and leaves plenty of desk space for mouse movement. It is hotswappable, has RGB, and comes with the switch options listed above. It suits players who want a compact layout and the freedom to change switches.

The alternatives trade off like this:

• Wooting 80HE Black: the closest match. It has the same weight and the same length, width and height, with the same switch options and a hotswappable PCB. 8 pros use it now.
• Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black: 70 g lighter and 0.2 cm shorter, but 1.8 cm wider and 1.06 cm taller. It uses Razer Analog Optical switches on a non-hotswappable PCB, so the switches cannot be swapped. 5 pros use it now.
• SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL (2023): 0.6 cm shorter and 0.9 cm wider, and 1.06 cm taller. It has OmniPoint 2.0 switches on a non-hotswappable PCB. 4 pros use it now.

If you want the same footprint and the same range of switches, go for the Wooting 80HE Black. The Razer and SteelSeries boards are taller, and their switches are fixed.
