lz's keyboard history
lz has gone through four different keyboards since March 2025, with no returns to an old board. That is three switches in total. The path runs from the Logitech G Pro K/DA Keyboard to the Wooting 60HE+, and then to two Razer boards in a row.
The longest stay was on the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8KHz Green, at 7.8 months. The current Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 65% is the newest of the four and is still in its first stretch, at 2.6 months so far. Since December 2025 both boards have been Huntsman V3 models, and the latest change was a move from a TKL layout to a 65% one.

Switches and actuation
The Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 65% uses Razer Hall Effect Magnetic switches. The PCB is non-hotswappable, so the switches are fixed to the board and cannot be swapped without modding. The board has RGB.
In practice, you pick this keyboard for its magnetic switch system as a whole, not for a switch you can change later. If you want to try different switches on the same board, look at the hotswappable alternatives below.
Key binds
lz plays VALORANT, so his keyboard handles movement (walk, crouch, jump), object use, weapon equips (primary, secondary, melee, spike) and the ability keys, including the ultimate. A 65% board keeps all of these within easy reach in a compact layout.
Should you buy lz's keyboard?
The Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 65% suits players who want a compact 65% board with magnetic switches and don't plan to swap switches. It is a good fit if you like a small footprint and want to keep a dedicated arrow-key section. It is available to buy.
The alternatives trade off differently:
- Higround Basecamp 65HE: also 65% with magnetic switches, and it is hotswappable. It is a little longer, wider and taller than lz's board.
- VGN Flash 68: another hotswappable magnetic 65%. It is the same height, slightly longer and noticeably wider, so it needs more desk space.
- ATK RS6 Ultra Aspas Edition: a hotswappable 65% with Gateron Jade Gaming switches. It is almost the same width but clearly longer, so it takes more depth on the desk.
All three alternatives are hotswappable, which the Huntsman is not. That makes them the easier choice if you like to experiment with switches.
