Kaze's keyboard history

Kaze has gone through five keyboards since September 2022, and each one lasted a single stretch. He started on the Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 for 8.9 months, then moved to the KBDfans Tiger 80 for 3.2 months. The Wooting 60HE+ that followed is his longest stay at 13.5 months (1.1 years).

After the 60HE+ came the Wooting 80HE Black (10.6 months), and in September 2025 he moved to the ASUS ROG Falchion Ace HFX Black. That board is at 13.2 months (1.1 years) and counting, so it is close behind the Wooting 60HE+ as his longest period.

Across those five boards he has used four different switches. The last three boards in the list are all compact layouts, and the Falchion Ace HFX is the third in a row with a modern magnetic-switch setup.

Switches and actuation

The Falchion Ace HFX Black is sold with ROG HFX Magnetic switches, and the HFX in the model name refers to them. Magnetic switches register a keypress through a magnet rather than a physical metal contact. That is why this type of board is popular with players who care about how the keys respond in a shooter like CS2.

The PCB is non-hotswappable, so the switches are not meant to be changed. What you buy is what you get. RGB lighting is included, and the 75% form factor keeps the board compact while holding on to the arrow keys and the function row area.

Should you buy Kaze's keyboard?

The Falchion Ace HFX Black is available to buy. It suits players who want a compact 75% board with magnetic switches and are happy with a fixed switch setup. A 75% layout saves desk space compared with a full-size board, which leaves more room for mouse movement. It does not suit anyone who wants to swap switches regularly, because of the non-hotswappable PCB.
