karrigan's keyboard history has 6 periods across 5 different models, with 5 switches from one board to the next. Most of it is SteelSeries. The Apex Pro line fills the early periods, and one Razer sits between two SteelSeries boards.

The longest stay was the SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini Black, 17.4 months (1.4 years), from November 2022 to May 2024. The only model he came back to is the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL (2023). He used it from May 2024 to August 2024, then returned to it once, for 5.5 months in total.

After the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL White (7.9 months) came the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 White (9.0 months). In January 2026 he moved to the Wooting 80HE+ Frost, and he is now 9.5 months into that period. That is the second-longest run in the table, behind the Mini Black.

Switches and actuation

The hotswap PCB means you can pull the switches out and try another type without soldering. That matters on a board with this many options, because you can start with one and change later. The list covers two Lekker linears, two Tikken variants and two switches from other makers.

In CS2, his main game, the keyboard handles movement and utility binds. Switch feel is the part of the board you can tune to taste.

Should you buy karrigan's keyboard?

The Wooting 80HE+ Frost is available to buy. It suits players who want a TKL board with a low profile (2.84 cm high) and the freedom to swap switches thanks to the hotswappable PCB. It is also a good fit if you like trying different switch types, since six options are on offer.

The alternatives trade off in a few ways:

• Wooting 80HE Black: same size and weight as karrigan's board, with the same switch options and hotswap PCB. Currently used by 8 pros, so it is the closest swap.
• Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Black: 70 g lighter, but 1.8 cm wider and 1.06 cm taller. It uses Razer Analog Optical switches and is not hotswappable. 5 pros use it now.
• SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL (2023): 0.6 cm shorter, 0.9 cm wider and 1.06 cm taller, with OmniPoint 2.0 switches and a non-hotswappable PCB. 4 pros use it now, and karrigan has used this model himself.

If you want the lower height and swappable switches, stay with a Wooting. If you prefer a lighter board and fixed switches, the Razer is the closer match. The SteelSeries is the more compact one front to back.
