VGN FLASH 68 / FLASH 68HE, co-developed with Horcus vs the standard model
VGN's April 2026 announcement named Horcus its Global Brand Friend and official FLASH 68 ambassador, with the global launch set for April 20. The VGN FLASH 68 / FLASH 68HE was co-developed with him.
A retailer listing for the board says it was co-tuned by Horcus and describes a snappy return and responsive feedback. That tuning is the only difference the listing claims. The form factor, hotswap PCB and size are in the spec table, and they describe the board as sold.
Horcus's keyboard history
Horcus has had seven keyboard periods across five different models, with six switches between them. Two of those models were used twice. The Razer Huntsman Elite adds up to 29.3 months (2.4 years) over its two stints, and his longest single period was also on it: 17.8 months (1.5 years), from September 2022 to March 2024. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro had two stints as well, 11.6 months in total.
The shorter experiments were the Varmilo VA87M Beijing Opera (4.5 months) and the Pulsar PCMK 3 (1.1 months). The Pulsar sat between two V3 Pro periods. The move to the VGN Flash 68 in July 2026 followed the brand partnership with VGN, and it is only 2.8 months old so far.

Switches and actuation
The Flash 68 uses magnetic switches on a hotswappable PCB. VGN's product page describes the FLASH 68HE as Hall-effect magnetic, with 0.001 mm rapid-trigger precision and 8000 Hz polling. Rapid trigger lets a key reset the moment you start releasing it, instead of at a fixed point, so quick counter-strafes and short taps register fast. The high polling rate keeps input latency low.
Hotswap means you can change the switches without soldering, which is handy if you like to experiment with a magnetic board.
Key binds
The binds table shows a simple VALORANT layout. Weapon slots 1 to 4 stay on the number row, which a 65% board keeps. Abilities sit on C, Q, E and X, and Use Object is on F. Walk is on L-Shift, Crouch on L-Ctrl and Jump on Space, all keys that a 65% board has.

Should you buy Horcus's keyboard?
The Flash 68 suits players who want a compact 65% board with magnetic switches, rapid trigger and a hotswap PCB. It is a heavy board at 1000 g, so it stays put on the desk. The board is on sale, so you can buy exactly what Horcus plays on.
If it doesn't fit, here is what the alternatives trade off:
- Higround Basecamp 65HE: also 65% with unspecified magnetic switches and a hotswap PCB. It is 0.7 cm longer, 1 cm narrower and 0.2 cm taller than the Flash 68.
- Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 65%: Razer Hall Effect magnetic switches. It is 0.1 cm shorter and 2.3 cm narrower, and the same height. The PCB is non-hotswappable, so you can't change switches.
- ATK RS6 Ultra Aspas Edition: Gateron Jade Gaming switches on a hotswap PCB. It is 1.9 cm longer, 2.2 cm narrower and 0.1 cm taller.
